Public Lecture about the Cyrillic Alphabet at UCL
A public lecture on the history of the Cyrillic alphabet was held at the UCL Institute of Archeology on May 29th. The event was organized by the Bulgarian lecturer at UCL, Dr. Yordanka Velkova, on the occasion of May 24th – The Day of Bulgarian Writing, Education, and Culture.
Dr. Dimitar Peev, Bulgarian lecturer at the Humboldt University in Berlin spoke about the works of Sts. Cyril and Methodius and their disciples.
The lecture was attended by students and academics; the Bulgarian Embassy in London was represented by Svetozar Dimitrov, Second Secretary at the Embassy’s Political Affairs Section.

Лекция за Кирилицата в UCL
На 29 май 2019 г. в Института по археология към University College London се проведе лекция върху историята на Кирилицата, организирана по случай 24 май от българския лектор в UCL д-р Йорданка Велкова.
За делото на Св. Св. Кирил и Методий и техните ученици говори медиевистът д-р Димитър Пеев, който е лектор по Български език, литература и култура в Хумболтовия университет, Берлин.
Лекцията бе посетена от студенти и представители на академичните среди, а Посолството на България в Лондон бе представено от Светозар Димитров, втори секретар в Политическата служба.
